The students were greeted warmly by our HR Director, Mr. Rick Tan, who shared insights about VDL's culture. Our Group Lead, Mechanical Design, Mr. Marcel Prayogo and Project Manager, Mr. Niek van Hoek from the Technology & Development Team, served as guest lecturers for the postgraduate students, sharing their expertise in manufacturing & design. They also shared their VDL work experiences, answered insightful questions and exchanged ideas with these bright, aspiring professionals of tomorrow. It was an inspiring and enriching day filled with meaningful connections. We were delighted to welcome undergraduate and postgraduate students from Nanyang Technological University Singapore, National University of Singapore, and Singapore Institute of Technology to our Open House Event on 18 September 2024, marking the second consecutive year of this successful event! The event began with a warm welcome from our Managing Director, Mr. Sing Chung CHIAM, followed by an insightful company overview presented by our HR Director, Mr. Rick Tan. Students also had the opportunity to hear from one of our employees, Mr. Choi Woo Seok, an undergraduate from NTU, who shared his career journey with VDL ETG Singapore. The event continued with a tour of our manufacturing facility and concluded with refreshments and networking with some of our colleagues. 𝗩𝗗𝗟 𝗘𝗧𝗚 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺      Organized by DutchCham (Dutch Chamber of Commerce Singapore), an exciting forum took place at VDL ETG Singapore. This gathering brought together distinguished participants from the semiconductor industry and among others in Singapore, along with VDL employees, to exchange valuable industry insights. The forum was kicked off by Petra Hemmes (Executive Director at DutchCham Singapore), whereafter Thomas Schot (Engineering Manager at VDL ETG Singapore) took over as MC.     Five outstanding speakers shared their understanding and knowledge of the latest developments in the semiconductor world:  ◾ Francois Guibert, Former EVP and President of STMicroelectronics for the Greater China and South Asia region. ◾ Patrick Smit, Sales, Programs and NPI Vice President at VDL ETG Singapore.   ◾ Han B., Senior Global Business Manager at ASML     ◾ Seng Poh Ho, Vice President Centre Asia and Quality of BESI Singapore Pte Ltd. ◾ Cees Bogers, Vice President Supply Chain of VDL ETG Singapore.     The forum served as an 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀, as well as a platform for in-depth discussions on several topics related to the industry. Topics such as the latest market trends & challenges faced by companies in the sector, as well as the Dutch influence in the semiconductor sector and the front-end & back-end processes were discussed.
