Consistency is key! 🗝 Did you know that our circadian rhythm is our 24-hour internal clock that resets every day? Our bodies make minute adjustments throughout the day from external cues such as light, exercise, meals, social interactions, and temperature. These external cues, also known as Zeitgebers (German for time givers), help nudge along our internal clock so we know when it's time for sleep. The more you stick to a consistent routine in your daily life, the more synchronised your internal clock is. Consistency in routine helps our bodies function as optimally as possible.
