In September alone, Indonesia saw 33.7 trillion rupiah ($2.1 billion) in crypto transactions, with 21.3 million active users. The top traded assets? Tether (USDT), Ether (ETH), Bitcoin (BTC), Pepe (PEPE), and Solana (SOL)—showcasing the high demand across diverse assets.     100 sponsorship proposals a week. That’s what Santander Head of Sponsorship and Events, MELISSA NOAKES, receives. These 9 tips to cut through were given...and they highlight an industry problem. 👇 🗣 2 weeks ago Melissa, Stuart Wareman (Accor), and Natalie Williams (Airwallex) talked about sponsorship at a Luscid event hosted by Lord Coe. 🌟 They shared 9 useful tips to stand out and gain traction which I have summarised in the document below. ™ The central thread of their guidance was about personalising approaches. ❓ The helpful tips therefore raise a question. 🤔 Where and how do rights holders and sales agencies get the information to action the advice properly? 👨💻 Whilst some answers can be sourced/deduced from desk research of websites, annual reports, press releases, media interviews etc, a lot isn't publicly available or changes quicker than is updated. 💡 Natalie rightly highlighted that objectives can change year on year, and differ by country - as do target audience segments and their relative priorities. 😬 From my experience as a sponsorship decision-maker on the brand side, this information can often be hard to get (or to agree on) even when you're on the inside. 🤐 And when you can get it, there is a sense that it is sensitive and there is a reluctance to share it often with incumbent agencies, let alone potential partners. 🎯 To make proposals relevant to brands and reduce the volume of unsuitable ones, to reduce the amount of time and money spent by agencies and rights holders on preparing proposals and stopping a 'spray-and-pray' approach, a clear understanding of objectives (and measures of success), brand, target audiences, and budget is first needed. 🤷♀️ But how do we get to this given what's required to achieve it? 🧠 Is some sort of anonymised sharing of this information needed to protect brands commercially whilst giving rights holders the information they need to tailor solutions? 🤗 I'm interested to hear people's thoughts.
