Focusing on the unique challenges and nuances of selling from India to the US, here are some exciting insights from Manoj Agarwal: ➡ Establish a dedicated US-focused pod: Assembling a dedicated “pod” that unites talent from sales, marketing, customer success, and product teams can address US customer needs effectively. ➡Avoid becoming a feature factory: Manoj drew an interesting comparison between Indian thalis and burgers to illustrate product strategy. In India, customers might expect a “full course” product experience with many features (like an Indian thali), while in the US, buyers prefer specific, outcome-driven solutions (like a burger/sandwich). The takeaway? Focus on delivering targeted solutions rather than overwhelming customers with ‘feature factories’—think burgers over thalis! ➡Strike a Balance Between Consultative Sales and Product-Led Growth (PLG): A consultative approach is key for enterprise sales, facilitating deeper conversations about the customer’s unique needs.
