We are pleased to share that YCH Group’s Executive Chairman, Dr. Robert Yap, recently led a delegation to visit Sunhola Group, one of North China’s largest wholesale markets for fruits, frozen food, and agricultural produce. Hosted by Mr. Mi Yalin, Founder and Chairman of Sunhola Group, the discussions centred around potential strategic collaborations to strengthen the ASEAN-China food trade supply chain. During the visit, we toured Sunhola's impressive wholesale market and fruit processing facilities, which serve over 8,000 traders across the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. Dr. Yap shared YCH Group’s innovative solutions, such as our autonomous warehousing systems and real-time inventory tracking powered by advanced data analytics. These technologies are designed to optimise logistics, boost efficiency, and provide real-time insights for smarter decision-making. A key focus of the discussions was the SGConnect™️ initiative, supported by the hub-to-hub connectivity of YCH’s SuperPorts™️. This initiative aims to streamline ASEAN-China trade by reducing transit times, enhancing visibility, and improving operational efficiency. Specifically, YCH’s Vietnam SuperPort™️, with its multimodal connections via road, rail, air, and sea, offers links to China’s Yunnan province and Kunming city, extending through Hanoi to Hai Phong international port. This positions it as a critical logistics gateway, facilitating seamless trade between ASEAN and China. We were honoured to host a key delegation of political and provincial leaders from Vietnam, led by His Excellency Mr. Lai Xuan Mon, a member of the 13th Party Central Committee, at Supply Chain City® yesterday. 🎉 YCHees gathered in the ballroom of Supply Chain City to celebrate the birthday of our Executive Chairman, Dr. Robert Yap! This year is extra special as it’s the auspicious Year of the Dragon, which also happens to be Dr. Yap's zodiac sign. 🐉 The celebration began with a surprise Dragon Dance performed by our staff, setting a lively and festive tone for the afternoon. While everyone enjoyed a delicious Peranakan lunch buffet 🍲, they were entertained by various song and dance performances. YCH Group, in collaboration with WorldBridge Group, was honoured to host the Singapore-Cambodia Business Leaders Breakfast on 19th June 2024 at Conrad Centennial Singapore. The event provided a platform for business leaders from both nations to discuss and explore further collaboration and growth opportunities, ranging from EV Charging to E-Commerce. The strong economic ties between Singapore and Cambodia and the potential for mutual benefit in the supply chain and logistics sector were emphasised. Her Excellency Mrs Cham Nimul, Minister of Commerce, and His Excellency Mr Chea Vuthy, Secretary General of the Cambodian Investment Board, presided as the Guests of Honour. They provided valuable insights into the flourishing commerce and trade developments in the Kingdom of Cambodia. A significant highlight was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Mr Ian Dyason, CSSCP, Chief Executive Officer of Supply Chain and Logistics Academy, SCALA, and Mr Allen Dodgson Tan, Chief Strategy Officer of PPLC Superport & Industrial Co., Ltd. This agreement affirmed YCH Group’s commitment to advancing Cambodia’s supply chain and logistics sector.
