At Atlas Professionals, we are working with a Ship Owner providing a range of services in the Maritime industry. Client is looking for a Technical Superintendent responsible to manage their vessel in a safe, reliable and profitable operations of the assigned vessels, and by working collaboratively with other departments and divisions to ensure optimal fleet operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Familiar with classification rules for assigned vessels.
Keep assigned vessels operationally ready at all times.
Ensure compliance with flag state, classification, oil terminal, and international standards.
Promptly resolve defects and deficiencies to prevent down time.
Improve vessel performance through fuel and maintenance management and budget control.
Plan and conduct regular ship visits for various management tasks.
Evaluate Chief Engineer every 6 months.
Attend shipboard meetings with Port Captain regularly.
Closing out audit non-conformances and observations promptly.
Plan for and attend ship dockings as needed.
Attend to and follow up to close up any requirements on ship matters relating to third party claims.
Assist in incident investigations with Port captain to complete the incident investigation report.
Participate in SMC and MLC audits and SIRE inspections.
Work responsibly and harmoniously.
Requirements:
Diploma or degree in Maritime Engineering or relevant qualification or experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in similar position
Demonstrated capability in difficult negotiation
Proficient in MS Office
