Sometimes you have one of those workdays that really has an impact on you. Today was one of those days. This morning, I had the absolute privilege of visiting Government House in Bangkok and meeting Thailand’s Prime Minister, H.E. Paetongtarn Shinawatra, who confirmed Thailand’s continuing commitment to supporting the development and growth of the MICE industry. Huge thanks to TCEB Thailand Exhibitions for putting together this very special visit as part of their Exhibition Industry Summit and for their continued support of Terrapinn’s events in the Land of Smiles. It’s been a tremendous event and a great opportunity to catch up with friends old and new in one of the most dynamic event destinations in the world. 📣#Terrapinn Pte Ltd and The Thai Railway Engineering Association (TREA) officially signed the partnership agreement on 16th October 2024, confirming their collaboration for Asia Pacific Rail 2025. ✍️This #partnership aims to promote the Thai rail industry and support #knowledge-sharing among experts in railway engineering. Through this #collaboration, both parties expect to foster #innovation, build networks, and provide #valuablelearning opportunities for #industry #stakeholders. 🚇 In addition, on the same day, we also joined an exclusive site-visit activity at the Control Center and Maintenance Center at Bang Sue Station or Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal, which is an introduction to the Red Line electric train from Bang Sue - Taling Chan. The suburban train project or the Red Line electric train is a project that the STATE RAILWAY OF THAILAND (SRT) is the construction operator and the #SRT Electric Train Company is the service provider for the Red Line electric train. Construction began on February 10, 2013 and opened for service on August 2, 2021. 🚆The Thai Railway Engineering Association (TREA) was established in 2015 by graduates of the Railway Engineering System program under NSTDA and STI to serve as a hub for railway engineering personnel and knowledge. The association aims to promote, support, and facilitate collaboration, knowledge sharing, and networking among professionals in the field. Its members include experts from various sectors such as government agencies, private companies, transportation operators, academic institutions, and research organizations, all working towards sustainable railway development in Thailand.
