Our recent visit back to Ireland as part of an important Agritech inward trade visit, partnering with Michiko Suga and her colleagues at the Asian Development Bank (ADB). An event like this took many weeks of discussions to co-ordinate and excecute the visit, collaborating with Government stakeholders from Vietnam, Cambodia and Mongolia. Activities such as this are vitally important, and highlight opportunities around the world where Enterprise Ireland supported Irish companies can play a part to solve critical challenges in Agri, either through the adoption of new farm practices and equipment or through the use of innovative technology to increase yield and improved sustainability in an agri setting. Well done again to all involved and thanks to Takeshi Ueda, Robert Schoellhammer, Daniel Peciña-Lopez and Renee Martin for your commitment to this visit. We will continue to work with you on this and support Irish companies helping to make a difference on a global stage. #WeMakeADifference Enterprise Ireland Asia Thuy Anh Le Jane Lycett James Maloney

We were delighted this week to support the first signing of a Memorandum of Understanding that focused on forging stronger ties on Economic and Trade co-operation between the great countries of Ireland and Vietnam, with special appreciation to Peter Burke, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment and Mr. Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan, Vietnamese Deputy Minister for Investment and Trade. There are many Irish companies now exporting and doing business in Vietnam, with the support of Enterprise Ireland, to scale into international markets, and agreements such as this are important frameworks that facilitate increased visibility on the incredible opportunities that exist in Vietnam. Myself and the team from Enterprise Ireland Asia, with offices in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, led by Thuy Anh Le, Senior Market Adviser, along with colleagues in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur are available anytime to discuss these opportunities and supports available with our Enterprise Ireland client companies. In these overseas markets, we maximise the supports and advice available, working very closely with our colleagues in Ireland House across the region, with the Embassies, in this case H.E. Deirdre Ní Fhallúin, Ambassador of Ireland to Vietnam and Conor Finn, Deputy Head of Mission, who was instrumental in pulling this agreement together with our colleagues in Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment. Also, thank you to Hang Hoang, and her colleagues in Ministry of Trade and Investment, Vietnam for their support with this MOU. If you're an Irish supported client company, looking to enter the Vietnam markets, please make contact #WeMakeADifference

Enterprise Ireland Korea was delighted to participate in the International Education & Emigration Fair 2024 in COEX, Seoul on 21-22 September, with the setup of the Irish National Pavilion in partnership with PrestigeUhak, representing 8 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and 4 language schools supported by Education in Ireland. The two-day annual event, which has attracted over 1 million visitors to date since its first event in 1992, was a great opportunity to promote and raise awareness of the high-quality education offerings of Ireland and to interact with prospective students and agents in Korea. Following on from the busy weekend, Enterprise Ireland Korea also hosted a networking event on 23 September for the traveling Irish HEIs and language schools to meet with Korean study abroad agencies interested in partnerships with the Irish educational entities. The event was organised in partnership with the Korea Overseas Study Association (KOSA) to allow the Irish HEIs and language schools to explore market opportunities in Korea with the prospective partners. We'd like to thank H.E. Michelle Winthrop, Irish Ambassador to Korea, PrestigeUhak, Korea Overseas Study Association (KOSA), the organiser of the fair, and the HEIs and language schools travelled to participate in the busy programmes.
