Make your audience the hero, not yourself, says trainer and speaker Jeyaraman Seenivasagam. Capture their attention from the start and make an impact by addressing their pain points and expectations, he explains. What techniques do you use to engage your audience? Share your tips in the comments. #IOTD #audience #communication #guide
Don’t train; transform your audience. Trainers make the mistake of being the hero. They portray themselves as the ‘guru from the mountains’ If you try to be a hero you’ll attract victims. Your seminar is never about you; it’s about THEM. You can get their attention from the start and make a huge impact. Here’s how: i. Ask about their pain and expectations. Ask: - What will make this conversation valuable to you? - What have you struggled with in this area of your life? - what skills/knowledge will give you the biggest change? ii. Share your story of how you started when you were in their position. - follow the 3 S Framework - struggle, solution, sharing. They will relate to you better and be captivated and not remain captive. You’re there to serve, not to be served.

When a man respects his wife’s career, he’s no longer ‘providing’ alone, says DEI expert Jingjin Liu. “Men who respect their wives’ ambitions identify as ‘breadsharers’. They see the family’s success as a shared journey. Others, though, cling to the traditional breadwinner identity, not out of necessity but, perhaps, as a way to feel ‘needed’ or ‘central,” she explains. What are some ways to show respect in a partnership? Share them in the comments. #IOTD #respect #partners #gender

🥖 Bread-Winner or Bread-Sharer? It’s Not About Money; It’s About Power! When a man respects his wife’s career, something profound shifts. 🤝 He’s no longer ‘providing’ alone - he’s partnering. But for those who downplay or dismiss their wives' work, the breadwinner label becomes a badge of honor, protecting their role as the family’s 'essential provider.' 🔍 And I can't help but wonder - Is this stance really about providing, or about preserving a sense of control? In my work with dual-career couples, I’ve seen a powerful divide. Men who respect their wives’ ambitions identify as ‘breadsharers.’ They see the family’s success as a shared journey. Others, though, cling to the traditional breadwinner identity, not out of necessity but, perhaps, as a way to feel ‘needed’ or ‘central.’ Why is this still so polarizing? Does a man’s respect for his partner’s career threaten his identity, or strengthen it? ⬆️ The truth is, when we expand the concept of ‘provider’ to include shared ambition and respect, everyone rises. So, the question I’m left with: "What might the world look like if more men redefined success through mutual respect and true partnership? Time to rethink what 'providing' really means... 💭 Love to hear your thoughts! -------------------------------------------------- Reflection after receiving countless of messages after writing about "Women Often Marry Their Own Glass Ceilings" #MondayReflection

Never underestimate the “power of once”, says growth mindset coach Michael Foo. “When we allow ourselves a single exception, it could change the course and set a pattern. Studies show it takes about 66 days to form a new habit. But it only takes one exception to break that momentum and start a mental cycle of excuses,” he explains. How do you avoid making excuses? Share them in the comments. #IOTD #habit #excuses #mindset
Growth Mindset Coach | I specialize in mid-career transitions, turning your fear and self-doubts into the confidence of #ICAN to create the success you want. | Founder @Positive Minds | Youth Mentor | ex-Alibaba Group
“𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗢𝗻𝗰𝗲” 😲 It has been said the first time is the most memorable. But what if it can also be the most disruptive? Years ago, my former CEO shared a simple yet profound principle: “When we allow ‘just this once,’ we open the door to excuses.” “A small compromise will lead to a habit that could sabotage your entire effort. Never underestimate the Power of Once." That was his point - when we allow ourselves a single exception, it could change the course and set a pattern. Studies show it takes about 66 days to form a new habit. But it only takes one exception to break that momentum and start a mental cycle of excuses. And for most of us, that “just once” is all it takes for our plans to go off track. That sets me thinking - what if we could turn this power of once into something positive? Just like one small exception can lead us off track, taking one intentional first step forward challenges our limiting mindset and can lead us towards the career and lifestyle we want. What about you? → Was there a moment where you allowed “just once” to sabotage your progress? → What first step can you take to get closer to your desired career or lifestyle? → What results would change if you made that ‘’just once’’ choice today? “Once” may seem insignificant. Yet it only takes “once” to start a change. I hope this post can be the start of a positive “once” for you. 📌 How has the power of once played out for you so far? -------------- 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴.
