Proud to announce our successful renewal of the ACA certificate! 🌳🌍 At Fraport Slovenija, we take our environmental impacts with great responsibility. As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, we have successfully reduced our carbon footprint for 2023 and renewed our Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) certificate. ✈️🪴 Among our key achievements are: 🌱 In 2023 we have reduced CO2e emissions per passenger by 24.3% and 5,2% per 100 kg of cargo compared to previous three years (2019, 2021, and 2022). 🌱 Last year we also achieved a 7.5% reduction in absolute CO2e emissions compared to the average of the previous three years (2019, 2021, and 2022). 🌱 Since joining ACA in 2013, we have reduced our total carbon footprint by 37%. 🌱 Our relative CO2e emissions per passenger have decreased by 60% since 2012. These accomplishments are a testament to our dedicated efforts in managing our environmental impacts and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Slovenia’s airport connectivity and green investments at Ljubljana Airport were among the topics of yesterday’s Infrastructure Forum organized by the German-Slovene Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Slowenien).✈️🌳   Our Head of Airline Management Janez Krašnja, M. Sc. joined a panel titled “Is Slovenia Prepared for the Needs of the Future?”. He highlighted the rising traffic numbers at Ljubljana Airport, which are nearing pre-pandemic levels. He also discussed the role of airport connectivity and Fraport Slovenija's incentives designed to stimulate new routes and increase flight frequencies. We were honored that the Ministry of Infrastructure also recognized our great collaboration in shaping a more connected Slovenia.   Looking to the future, Janez shared insights into our ambitious decarbonization goals. With a target to achieve Ljubljana Airport’s carbon neutrality by 2045, we’re focusing on energy efficiency, electrifying our ground handling fleet, and advancing our charging infrastructure.
