Tekom izgradnje novega kontejnerskega terminala v Luki Reka, ki se bo raztezal na 110.000 m2 in rekonstrukcije pripadajočega skladišča bomo okvirno izkopali prek 29.000 m3 materiala, uporabili preko 85.000 m3 geotekstila, vgradili preko 32.500 m2 betona, 2.300 ton armature in 290 ton jekla, položili okvirno 18.500 m2 asfalta. 💪👍 Prispela pa tudi že prva dvigala STS. 😎 #KolektorConstruction #GradimoNašoPrihodnost #ProjektiVTeku #LukaReka #Hrvaška #Reka #KontejnerskiTerminal

🔩 Tie Down & Storm Pin Installation 🔩 For the past few weeks, I've been coordinating work on the quay. With the shipment of ship-to-shore (STS) cranes just around the corner, this phase has become a crucial and time-sensitive part of the project. As part of the quay construction, we’re progressing with the installation of 24 tie-downs and 12 storm pins. These elements ensure the stability of the cranes during regular operations and in severe weather conditions. Here’s how the work is progressing: 1️⃣ Surface concrete is cut, and holes are drilled to 2m depth for D110mm anchors. 2️⃣ SAS Thread Bars (S670 D43x2300mm) are inserted, and non-shrinking grout is applied to stabilize the anchors. 3️⃣ Tie-downs are placed over the anchors and secured with additional grout. 4️⃣ Stress tests are performed on the anchors, followed by prestressing to ensure proper tension. 5️⃣ Holes are sealed with reinforced concrete, and a watertight finish is applied to restore the surface. 🚧 Rijeka Gateway Project: Warehouse 22 Renovation 🚧 As part of the project I’ve been most hands-on with so far, the renovation of this 100-year-old building is key to the Rijeka Gateway project. Part of the Metropolis warehouse complex, constructed between 1909-1914, it functioned as a facility for storing bulk goods like grains, coffee, and other commodities. In the early 2000s it was abandoned, as containerization and modern logistics made these traditional warehouses mostly redundant. Works are now being done to renovate the building so it can serve as a logistics center for the new fully remote-controlled container terminal, all while restoring and preserving its cultural and historical significance. Key Engineering Aspects: 👉 Building Dimensions: Warehouse 22 spans approximately 136 meters in length and 20 meters in width, covering a total area of about 16,200 m² across six floors. 👉 Structural Enhancements: Originally supported by an endoskeletal design with 96 columns, the structure is being reinforced with seven new load-bearing walls, reducing reliance on these columns. 👉 Stair and Elevator Cores: The existing stair cores are being strengthened with thicker concrete walls, and the building will feature three new elevator cores and an additional stair core. 👉 Foundation Work: In the basement, significant foundation work is underway, including line foundations and slabs, to support the new structural elements.
