At the 1st Vseslovenska Energy Conference, which took place on October 16-17 at Cankarjev Dom, I had the opportunity to present the Leonardo project - AI meets Energy ⛅ 🌞 🌦 I focused on how we are leveraging a Big Data platform (Leonardo) for real-time data collection for accurate energy production forecasts. This technology is designed to transform how data is managed in the energy sector, offering enhanced operational efficiency and supporting a sustainable future. One of the biggest challenges is accurately predicting how much power renewable sources can generate. This is important because weather affects renewables, which can be unpredictable. Getting this prediction right is crucial for keeping our energy systems stable and efficient. And that's precisely where our latest innovation, Leonardo, comes into play. It's designed to make those critical predictions more accurate than ever, setting the stage for a more sustainable future. Medius.si is proud to be part of the incredible Greentech consortium, uniting 11 partners from the industry (Gorenje Group inc, Domel, Fotona d.o.o., LPFK, YASKAWA Europe, Danfoss, KRONOTERM, Medius.si) and academia to reduce CO2 emissions by over 17M tons, cut energy use by 9B kWh, and save 800,000 tons of material in the next decade. Medius plays a key role in helping Greentech introduce advanced solutions using digital twins and artificial intelligence to optimize production systems. 💡⚙️ 𝗜𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗷𝗲 𝘇𝗮 𝘇𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗶 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗼𝗱: 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗸𝘁 Projekt Greentech združuje raziskovalce in industrijo pri iskanju rešitev, ki bodo oblikovale prihodnost. 🌍♻️ 🗣 Predstavili smo napredek na projektu po osemih mesecih dela na posebnem dogodku v Cankarjev dom, Cultural and Congress Centre Ljubljana s častno gostjo 𝗱𝗿. It was a great couple of days at the Amsterdam AI & Big Data Expo World Series. We would love to have a bit more sun but despite the weather 🌦 , the energy and discussions made for an unforgettable event. Some crucial takeaways: 1- Real Industry AI-Driven Use Cases Matter: One of the most frequent questions we received was how we define and implement AI use cases. The key? Clear alignment with real business challenges, measurable KPIs, and a phased implementation process that ensures scalability and impact. 2- The Power of Versatility: Attendees were amazed by the spectrum of our AI-driven solutions, spanning 9 industries. What stood out to us is that it’s not just the number of use cases that counts, but the added value we deliver with each one, backed by strong customer experience and real-world impact. 3- Tech Stack -What Caught Attendees' Attention: Many attendees were particularly interested in the technology we use to build these solutions. Our tech stack combines Microservices architecture and DevOps practices for scalable, efficient software development. The takeaway? Scalability and efficiency are essential for making AI-driven solutions thrive in real-world environments. We’re already looking forward to the next event!
