Henkel and Resalta have joined forces in an exciting strategic partnership to construct an industrial-scale heat pump at Henkel's Maribor site. This groundbreaking project is set to make a significant impact in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting the use of low-CO2 technologies in chemical production. By doing so, it will substantially decrease the site's reliance on natural gas. As the first step, the project partners have successfully completed a feasibility study for a powerful heat pump. This study revealed an incredible opportunity: the production site generates sufficient waste heat and cold demand, which can be harnessed by the heat pump. By integrating this innovative heat pump into the site’s production infrastructure, an impressive expected up to >50% of the total heat demand will be met, leading to a corresponding up tp 50% reduction in natural gas consumption. The environmental benefits of this project are substantial. It is projected to cut CO2 emissions significantly. Additionally, the heat pump will enhance the efficiency of the cooling water system, making it less vulnerable to climate and weather variations. Moreover, this state-of-the-art heat pump will maximize both heating and cooling sides, achieving a total efficiency factor exceeding 5. This represents a significant leap forward in energy efficiency and sustainability.

We are thrilled to announce a new partnership with Medex! Through this partnership, we'll develop and implement a 207 kWp on-site rooftop solar power plant at Medex's Ljubljana facility. This installation is poised to generate an estimated 209.5 MWh of carbon-neutral electricity annually, leading to a reduction of 103 tons of CO2 emissions per year. Collaboration exemplifies Medex's and our dedication to sustainability and underscores our shared commitment to a greener future. We are excited about the positive impact this initiative will bring to Medex and the surrounding community.

And we're off! Acqusition of Resalta by Aggreko has now been completed. Resalta is now operating under the Aggreko umbrella, as a part of companies dedicated to global energy transition. Resalta will continue to operate as an independent entity, and will continue to serve clients in commercial, industrial and public sectors in the CEE, as well as support Aggreko's wide client base in Western Europe and further afield. Resalta's management, who is staying on, remains as committed as ever to decarbonising the future. CEO Luka Komazec and the rest of the management team would like to thank all of Resalta's team for their hard work over the years that made this possible. Resalta would also like to thank its transaction advisers who helped get this over the line: AFRY Capital Limited (Tom Blake and the team), Deloitte (Tilen Vahčič and the team), AFRY Management Consulting (Horst Dulle and the team, Schoenherr Attorneys at Law (Vid Kobe, Peter Gorše and the team), Rutgers & Posch (Lennaert Posch and the team) and KPMG (Luc Averous). Special thanks goes to Aggreko transaction team (Philip Vellacott, Chris Rason and Lauri Lepik) for making this challenging process thoroughly manageable. Finally, we would like to thank our past owners, especially Rossen Ivanov and Dimitar Enchev, for their support over the years and their decisiveness in making the transaction happen.

Fancy a sneak peak behind the scenes of the GH Bernardin's 1MW water source heat pump, one of the largest in Slovenia? The high efficiency, high temperature heat pumps will take heat from the Slovene sea to provide low carbon heat and hot water to this largest Slovene hotel. Working in partnership with GH Bernardin, the heat pump project is set to become a major part of GH Bernardin's low carbon energy infrastructure, reducing the hotel's reliance to fossil fuels and is anticipated to save 500 tonnes of carbon per year.

Resalta is proud to report that we are finalizing construction of 728,16 kW solar power plant that will be supplying Sports City Ilirija with 745 MWh of green power per year. Check out drone pictures of this beautiful project! The project Sports City Ilirija will be, when completed, an almost zero-energy sports complex powered by geothermal energy, which will be transformed into heating and cooling energy via heat pumps and exchangers. Almost all the energy needed to operate the swimming pool will be obtained from reversible sources. Amazing engineering in the heart of Ljubljana, the European Green Capital.

The cheapest energy is the energy we don't use! Check out our heat recovery and reuse in Data Center in S&T Iskratel. This is an excelent #energyefficeincy solution where Resalta replaced the old, unreliable and energy inefficient close-control unit. The new close-control unit is now using the free-cooling at temperatures below 18⁰C, so for most of the year, with direct air intake through filters. The hot air produced by the data center servers is used to heat the adjoining warehouse during heating season. Thanks to this solution, energy consumption is lowered since for most of the year only the fan for air is consuming energy and waste heat is recuperated. An ultrasonic humidifier is regulating air moisture. Additionally, we have installed a new chiller, air handling unit with recuperation and fan coils that have improved ventilation and comfort cooling. Thanks to these measures, S&T Iskratel has benefited from 637 MWh of annual electricity savings and a reliable cooling system. In addition, S&T Iskratel employees are enjoying improved working conditions, benefiting from waste heat recuperation and its environmental impact achieved thanks to the switch from cooling media R22 to an eco-friendly solution.

#Energyefficiency matters more than ever! Check out our ultra-filtration system for wastewater in Terme Radenci, where 85% of water is recovered. Resalta is operating an ultra-filtration system for wastewater. That includes a system for washing the filters, topping and CO2 bath for optimizing the sand filtration. The filtered water is automatically doused with chemicals to meet the quality standards required for bathing water in Terme Radenci. Efficiency of the device is a staggering 85%. Resalta helps companies with distributed sites treat different locations holistically. That drives scalability of energy efficiency, improving the return on investment in the process.
