📢 Important Reminder As part of the #amendment to the Slovenian Employment Relationships Act, adopted in November 2023, the #deadline for employers to implement measures on the #RightToDisconnect is approaching fast — 16 November 2024! ⏳ 🚨 Key Compliance Reminder: Employers must ensure that employees are not required to be available during their time off or during justified absences. To comply with this, employers can introduce various measures, such as: ⏰ Prohibiting emails after working hours. 📧 Delaying email deliveries for employees on annual leave until they return to work. ⚠️ Including email notices that employees are not required to respond outside working hours. 💡 In September, our attorneys, Darja Miklavčič and Gregor Novljan, attended the Annual Meeting of #FamilyFriendlyBusiness (Ekvilib Inštitut) and #SociallyResponsibleEmployer (Network for Social Responsibility of Slovenia) Certificate Holders, where Darja delivered an insightful presentation on the Right to disconnect and addressed practical questions from attendees. 🌟 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 📢 Pomemben opomnik V novembru 2023 je bila sprejeta obsežna #novela Zakona o delovnih razmerjih. Novela je delodajalcem med drugim naložila, da morajo v obdobju enega leta sprejeti ukrepe glede #pravicedoodklopa, t.j. najkasneje do 16. novembra 2024! ⏳   🚨 V okviru pravice do odklopa morajo delodajalci zagotoviti, da zaposleni ne bodo dosegljivi v času dnevnega in tedenskega počitka ter med upravičeno odsotnostjo z dela. Delodajalci lahko uvedejo blažje in težje ukrepe, kot so: ⏰ prepoved pošiljanja elektronske pošte po določeni uri, 📧 odloženo pošiljanje elektronske pošte zaposlenim, ki koristijo letni dopust, ⚠️ obvestila v elektronski pošti, da zaposleni v času odsotnosti nanjo niso dolžni odgovoriti, in podobno.   💡 Naša odvetnika Darja Miklavčič in Gregor Novljan sta se konec septembra udeležila Letnega srečanja imetnikov certifikata #DružiniPrijaznoPodjetle (Ekvilib Inštitut) in #DružbenoOdgovorenDelodajalec (Mreža za društveno odgovornost Slovenije), kjer je Darja udeležencem med drugim podrobno predstavila pravico do odklopa in odgovorila na njihova praktična vprašanja v zvezi s tem. 🌟

Just wrapped up the Second Annual #ICC Regional Conference on Arbitration and ADR - Construction Projects Disputes. Even though I missed Dubrovnik last year, this year's event totally made up for it! The panels gave great insights into the dispute resolution process, the networking was great, and the cross examination role-playing was a fun twist. And don’t even get me started on the venue, just fantastic!
