Being at the Smart Grid’24 PCI SUMMIT in Budapest brings back memories of organising the first Smart Grid PCI SUMMIT in Slovenia and celebrating the successful end of the first smart grid PCI SINCRO.GRID Project. We were honoured when the CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency entrusted us with organising the first Smart Grid PCI SUMMIT. It is inspiring to witness the event evolving and growing. To mark the 10th anniversary of the #ConnectingEuropeFacility programme, the flagship #EU funding instrument for energy infrastructure in Europe, the CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency issued a digital publication presenting the program's key achievements. Among the highlighted projects is also the SINCRO.GRID project, the first completed #smartgrid electricity Action. The benefits of the CEF funding for the SINCRO.GRID: ✅ CEF Energy funding was crucial for the smooth implementation of the SINCRO.GRID smart grid project. ✅ It enabled the consortium to carry out the project significantly faster than if the beneficiaries had made the investments alone. ❗ By supporting innovative technologies and cross-border cooperation, CEF funding ensures enhanced energy security, optimised grid management, and increased integration of renewable energy sources. ❗ Such EU grants are vital for faster implementation of urgently needed investments in smartening the electricity grid. ⬇ More about the achievements in the digital publication https://lnkd.in/gMD55xzT

📢 At the event of the Austrian Embassy in Ljubljana, the director of #AdvantageAustria Ljubljana, Wilhelm Nest, ceremoniously presented the plaque of the national winner of the #EnergyGlobeAward to the representative of the #ELES, Jernej Majcen, for the successful implementation of the SINCRO.GRID project and its contribution to the #greenenergytransition. We celebrate #10YearsOfCEF 🎉 by putting the spotlight on #CEFEnergy-supported projects! Since 2014, the #EU co-funds key #EnergyInfrastructure such as the SINCRO.GRID Project in Croatia & Slovenia, a #SmartGrid project developing smart technologies to solve network voltage, frequency control and congestion issues, as well as to increase integration of #RenewableEnergy sources into the grid. The project is fully operational since 2021, and has since then increased security of energy supply in both countries.
