A professional tennis coach recently told me this story..👇🏼 When I’m coaching and everything’s going smoothly, I think: “This is what coaching is all about!” But when I’m exhausted, feeding balls for hours, I think: “How much longer can I keep doing this?” It’s a good reminder. Coaching isn’t just about the perfect sessions. It’s about dealing with the daily grind, the fatigue, the pressure to deliver results. Sometimes the physical strain—on our shoulder, elbow, wrist—makes us wonder how long we can keep going. Sometimes it’s hard to keep the players engaged, especially kids, when drills start to feel repetitive. It’s a balancing act. Coaching is about staying sharp, managing time and energy, keeping up with different skill levels, and staying motivated yourself. Why am I talking about this? Because there’s a way to make it easier. With the right tools, you can coach with less pain, engage your players more, and conserve your energy. Tools like Sportbot give you the freedom to focus on what truly matters—your players’ development. It feeds the balls, so you don’t have to. You get to observe, give real-time feedback, and actually coach up close. And your players? They stay interested, engaged, and challenged. Coaching is tough—but it doesn’t have to wear you down.

Sometimes progress just feels so slow, right? Here’s what pro tennis coaches have shared with me, and it really helped: 1. The first step is to master our shots while standing still. Consistent feeds are key here, letting us focus on technique without worrying about movement. 2. Once we’ve got our form locked in, we can start adding some movement - like drills that have us moving left and right across the court. 3. Next, we should work on moving forward and backward during drills, getting those tricky transition shots under control. 4. Finally, we’ll want to push ourselves with drills that move us all over the court, just like in a real match. But trying to do all of this too early, with inconsistent feeds or just playing with a friend, can make it harder for us to improve. With Sportbot, we can create all these drills, making it easy to practice at our own pace. Whether we’re working on the basics or trying ourselves at more advanced drills, we can adjust the difficulty to fit our level and goals. What are your tennis goals? Are you playing for fun or to make it as a pro?

What inspired me to create Sportbot?👇🏼 When the COVID lockdown hit, we were all stuck indoors and couldn’t play tennis with others… As a tennis player and engineer, I wasn’t about to give up on my game. So, I tried out a few ball machines on the market. They were alright for working on technique and footwork, but that’s about it. I wanted more. I wanted to practice advanced drills—like I was actually playing against someone. So, I figured… why not build one myself? A few years later, the Sportbot was born—ready to change how we train. What about you? What kept you busy during the pandemic?

How can we really get better in tennis?👇🏼 After talking with pro players and coaches, I've realized that it’s not about hitting the perfect shot once—it’s about repeating it, over and over. Improvement in tennis is like sculpting a statue: each swing is a small chisel strike. One perfect hit won’t shape the masterpiece, but consistent, deliberate repetition over time will. With the Sportbot tennis ball machine, we can create and practice the shot sequences we need. Sequences we can repeat 10 or 10.000 times. Like chiseling away, watching ourselves improve with every rep. Real progress happens through consistent practice and repetition. The more we practice, the more refined our skills become. Just like a sculptor’s steady hand creating a work of art.

Is there a more effective way to tennis coaching..?👇🏼 Feeding balls from the other side of the court makes it tough to focus on your player’s technique. Coaches end up shouting instructions and juggling both feeding and coaching. It’s hard to see their form clearly, and even harder to offer quick tips. But there’s an easier way. With a ball machine, you can stand right next to your players. The machine delivers precise, consistent feeds, so you can focus completely on their improvement. No distractions, no yelling—just you, your players, and better results. In my opinion, a ball machine like Sportbot makes coaching simpler and more effective. What do you think? Comment below🙌🏼

I’ve got to admit—footwork is currently my biggest struggle on the court. When I’m not in the right position, my shots suffer. And like many of us, dealing with random shots in games and practices makes it hard to focus on one thing at a time. After talking with pro coaches, I realized I need to work on my footwork without losing form. So, I started practicing with the Sportbot. By knowing exactly what shots are coming next and adjusting the difficulty, I am able to focus on my footwork while keeping my technique consistent. P.S.: What’s your biggest challenge on the court?

What an amazing experience! A big thanks to ATP Croatia Open Umag for hosting this incredible event and to everyone who visited the tournament to show their support. Sportbot was part of the Kid’s Week events, where over 100 young players practiced with our moving tennis ball launcher. The joy and smiles of these young players keep us motivated and inspired.
