Silicate binders are extremely effective for minor repairs to melting and casting furnaces, while being environmentally friendly. 🌍 At Termit, we use carefully selected mixtures of dry silica sand, sodium silicate, and additives such as iron oxide, resin, sugar, or ester to create sand molds and cores. Sodium silicate, as a key inorganic binder, hardens quickly, allowing for precise and efficient work. 🌡️ In our process, we add 4-6% binder to the dry, pure silica sand and mix it thoroughly to achieve a homogeneous blend. The mixture is then cured either by air drying or by blowing CO₂ gas through it, ensuring optimal results.
