𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 remains one of the 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 of the Sava Insurance Group. 🌱 To keep up with the rapid developments, we continuously learn and develop, network with colleagues from other industries and markets, and ensure the transfer of best practices within the Group. On 17 October, we gathered at the 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, where Polona Pirš, a member of the Sava Re management board, emphasised in her opening speech that sustainability is one of the key pillars of our business operations. During the day, an “external perspective” was shared by Dušan Lukič, head of innovation and development for the MOON brand at Porsche Slovenia, and Matej Cerovšek, a key member of the green public procurement team at the Slovenian Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Energy. Last week, some key and support functions of the 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗮 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽: 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁, 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗜𝗧, 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 protection gathered in Maribor, Slovenia, for a joint conference organised by Sava Re. The focus was on artificial intelligence and how to tackle the opportunities and risks it brings. 🔐 The topic was presented from the perspective of each key or support function, rounded off with a motivational speech, as well as time and space for strengthening bonds in common efforts to achieve the 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗮 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽’𝘀 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀. 🤝 The agenda featured presentations from respected professionals, including Prof. Matjaz Gams, independent author; 𝗠𝗶𝗵𝗮 𝗢𝘇𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗸, Sava Re internal audit; Tina Kraigher Mišič, LL.M., privacy & data protection function holder of the Sava Insurance Group; 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗷𝗮𝘇̌ 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘇̌𝗶𝘀̌𝗮𝗿, authorised representative of the management board of Sava Re; Andrijana Bergant, LLB, MBA, AICA from EISEP, and Dr. Aleksander Šinigoj from Mastermind Akademija. 𝗔𝗠 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺𝘀 '𝗔' 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗮 𝗥𝗲, 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 On 3 October 2024, following its regular annual rating review, the rating agency AM Best (the Agency) issued its ratings on Sava Re: “AM Best has affirmed the Financial Strength Rating of A (Excellent) and the Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating of “a” (Excellent) of Pozavarovalnica Sava d.d. (Sava Re) (Slovenia), the operating holding company of the Sava Insurance Group. The outlook of these Credit Ratings (ratings) is stable. “The ratings reflect Sava Re’s balance sheet strength, which AM Best assesses as very strong, as well as its strong operating performance, neutral business profile and appropriate enterprise risk management (ERM).” Source: AM Best press release Commenting on its assessment of the Company’s balance sheet, the Agency states: “Sava Re’s strongest level of risk-adjusted capitalisation, as measured by Best’s Capital Adequacy Ratio (BCAR), liquid investment portfolio, prudent reserving and good internal capital generation collectively contribute to an overall balance sheet strength assessment of very strong.” Source: AM Best press release Assessing the Company’s operating performance, the Agency notes: “Sava Re’s operating results in 2023 were strong, driven by sound life and non-life underwriting performance, supplemented by healthy investment income, resulting in a return on equity (ROE) of 11.6% based on IFRS 17 (as calculated by AM Best). We had an engaging and insightful 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 this year, held in Portorož, Slovenia, in September and hosted by Sava Re. Attended by 𝟱𝟴 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗮 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽, the event featured discussions on key topics such as: ✔️ Non-life pricing ✔️ Reinsurance ✔️ IFRS 17 profitability indicators ✔️ IFRS 9 investments Participants also enjoyed a collaborative teambuilding quiz and dedicated sessions focused on life actuarial, non-life actuarial and risk & ALM improvements. It was an excellent platform for networking 🤝, sharing knowledge and driving future growth in our industry! V pogovoru je osvetlil razliko med Savo Re in Zavarovalna skupina Sava ter predstavil poslovanje obeh. Marko Jazbec je razkril tudi, kam vlaga svoje presežke in kako skrbi za razpršitev premoženja, ter delil svoje finančne nasvete za mlajše generacije.
