About us

AvantGarde Group brings intensive international knowledge and experience with a global network of expert associates focused on climate change and sustainable energy development. Since our launch in 2016, we mobilized 150 mln EUR in funding for sustainable energy and climate change designing over 20 financial mechanisms covering energy efficiency retrofits, efficient heat supply, biomass heating, e-vehicles, near-zero energy buildings, etc, and financial instruments, i.e. grants, interest rate subsidies, green mortgages, ESCO and RESCO financing windows, for the World Bank, EBRD, GEF, UNDP, GIZ, and national financial institutions. We work in Europe, Caucasus, and Central Asian countries and we are proud to be associated with and contributed to some of their biggest climate finance and policy success stories, such as the adoption of the first Renewable Energy Law in Kazakhstan. Our network also supported projects in Middle East, Sub-Saharan Africa, and South-East Asia, which have marked early push for energy efficiency, renewable energy and e-mobility in these regions.     🏆 A thrilling moment for our team this Thursday in Zagreb! Out of 190 brilliant ideas at the climate tech pitching contest Laqothon, 𝐃𝐞𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐧𝐍𝐞𝐭 emerged as in the top three at the winners podium! This recognition is a validation of our months of work and towards developing a total solution for industry decarbonization. We've combined data-driven decision-making with our own software and hardware platform, tackling some of the toughest challenges head-on. A heartfelt thanks to LAQO for organizing this inspiring event, to AvantGarde Group for their unwavering support, and a salute to our fellow innovators for pushing the boundaries of what's possible.     🌟 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱, 𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂! On February 8th, I will be presenting DeCarbonNet at the esteemed Bug Future Show, having been selected as one of the top 10 finalists in the Laqothon challenge (https://lnkd.in/dACXzrw5). As a first for me, it's already a win, especially considering the competitive pool of 440 applications. This track of my journey since coming back to Croatia has been one of passion, dedication, and continuous learning. DeCarbonNet's vision to empower industrial companies to navigate their lowest cost path to decarbonization is a commitment to sustainability - the right way. I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to the LAQO and Laqothon team for recognizing the potential and to people who provided their support along the way so far.     📝 The first Sustainability-Linked Bond in Central Asia is set to be issued as part of the ESG Bond Issuance Programme, amounting to up to 236.8 billion tenge on Astana International Exchange - AIX in 2024. An agreement between JSC "Almaty Electric Stations" (AlES) and the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) was signed today at the AIFC platform. In addition to EDB, acting as the anchor investor, other development institutions and second-tier banks are entitled to participate in the project. 💼 The ESG Bond Programme for issuance of sustainable development bonds of AlES has been supported by the AIFC Green Finance Center, which provided the required independent advisory opinion evidencing the terms of bonds are in full compliance with the principles of sustainable development bonds (Second Party Opinion). 🌿 Daniyar Kelbetov, CFA, FRM, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the AIFC Green Finance Centre, expressed AIFC's commitment to promoting innovative financial instruments to attract investments into environmentally sustainable projects, highlighting the significance of the first issuance of Sustainability-Linked Bonds in Central Asia. 📈 Assel Mukazhanova , the Head of AIX, highlighted the growing global investor awareness of the importance of ESG criteria in investment decisions. Many companies are integrating these into their business strategies. She added that AIX is proud to be part of this trend, offering opportunities for investing in sustainable development through its range of products. 🌍 It is expected the AlES SLB bonds to become the largest issuance of sustainable development bonds in Central Asia, and the successful implementation of the project shall contribute to the greater efficiency of Almaty city’s energy system and improvement of the environmental conditions in the area.
