Some interesting IDV stats from the past 30 days at Trustmatic: 🌏 We saw 883 distinct identity document versions, with 63% of those being drivers licences, 16% ID cards, 12% passports, and 9% "other" 📈 We're trending at an 88% completion rate. We measure this as initialised sessions vs completed sessions. Of the 12% that don't complete, 85% don't scan their document at all - our best guess here is they don't have it to hand, so decide to try again later. 💡 If we measured the completion rate from the moment the document is scanned (as many vendors do), it would be 98%. ⚡ 96% of sessions returned a definitive Yes/No answer in under 5 seconds. ✅ This metric varies based on geography and use case, but in Canada we're trending at 90% of sessions auto approved, with 6% auto rejected. 🎯 We audit a lot of data. Our current error rate is 0% False Accept with 2.2% False Reject (remember this is 2.2% of 6%). ➰ Customers who allow multiple retries on rejected sessions get their False Reject down to under 0.5%. Honesty and transparency is important in IDV. Beware of any vendor who claims "100% accuracy" - I've been in this space for 10+ years and it doesn't exist. Certn tried many of the established IDV leaders and found this out the hard way. That's why they acquired us.
