We continue! 💪 Following our recent workshop on localization, concrete actions are already underway. Thursday marked the launch of the #CommunityPulse practitioners' meeting. The #CSIHWCA, in collaboration with EndaSanté Enda and The Global Fund, brought together civil society organizations, community groups, #activists, and field implementers to strengthen the Community Pulse tool. During this activity, we explored the effectiveness of this tool, gathered feedback from experienced #CLOs, and facilitated workshops to ensure a consistent use of the tool across all sites. The goal: to measure, demonstrate the positive impact of Community Pulse, and enhance it further. Day one focused on sharing ideas and needs, while day two centered on practical sessions using Community Pulse and exploring effective capacity-building methods. Localization is key, and these steps are bringing us closer to achieving it! #Localization #CapacityBuilding #CivilSociety #GlobalFund #CPulse Alain Manouan The Global Fund UNAIDS Nguissali Turpin Kevin Ambah Evina Magatte MBODj Christine Kafando Evans Adofo Mamadú Aliu DJALÓ 🇬🇼 Belisa Fernanda Lopes Mach-houd Kouton

🚀 New Initiative! The CSIH-WCA opened its multi-country workshop this Tuesday. This event marks the launch of our new initiative: "Localization According to Civil Society: Making the Most of Local Resources for Global Impact", which aims to strengthen the central role of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in delivering essential health services. 🌍 The funding landscape for health initiatives in West and Central Africa (WCA) has undergone significant changes in recent years. While international donors have increased their support, overall funding from other sources has drastically declined. This shift calls for more sustainable and locally-driven approaches. 🤝 Until September 19, key stakeholders will meet in Dakar to discuss the principles of localization, share best practices, and identify challenges. The expected outcomes of this workshop will guide future actions to accelerate localization and ensure equitable access to health in the region. #Localization #CSOs #SustainableHealthSystems #ResourceMobilization #LocalDevelopment #GlobalHealth The Global Fund UNAIDS Sidy Mokhtar NDIAYE Nguissali Turpin Fatou Ndow Oluwatoyin I. 📅Regional workshop on the transition towards a localised approach to CSO interventions in public health. At a time when long-term development efforts are coming up against political instability and climate change, it has become necessary to strengthen the resilience of community health systems in WCA through local ownership of interventions, improving the sustainability of The Global Fund investments in #CivilSociety and reducing dependence on external aid. Convinced of this, the #CSIHWCA, as a body for consultation, coordination and synergy, is organising a multi-country workshop on 17, 18 and 19 September to : 1️⃣ Strengthening local expertise by improving understanding and application of localization principles among the various WCA stakeholders involved in WCA health programs. 2️⃣ Analyze and identify best practices and challenges associated with localizing community health initiatives in WCA. 3️⃣ Promote a more suitable funding environment by supporting the mobilization of alternative resources and partnerships between CSOs, the private sector and philanthropic actors. #PublicHealth #LocalOwnership #GlobalHealth #SustainableDevelopment Alain Manouan Elhadj As Sy Nguissali Turpin Tchetmi Thomas fode simaga Raquel Palomino González
