USDA field visit to Bissau We were delighted to welcome a team from the USDA, who were able to discover the significant impact of the LIFFT-Cashew project. Their visit highlighted our efforts to build and rehabilitate warehouses and production tracks, and to finance and support processing units in Guinea Bissau. As part of the USDA-funded LIFFT project, 81 cooperative members in Manconomba, Sedhiou region, and Tendounck Village in Bourhiapay received training in organizational dynamics and leadership. This same valuable training was also extended to cooperatives in Guinea Bissau. On the initiative of USAID, a large round table was organized with the various projects and programs in Casamance. All the NGOs supported by the US government presented their initiatives to the press. 🗞️🤝 The aim of this meeting was twofold: to publicize the impactful work being done to support local communities, and to take stock of achievements to date, ensuring that these successes are widely shared across media platforms. 🌟By working together and sharing knowledge, we are making significant progress in improving the lives of the people of Casamance. USDA Supports LIFFT Cajou Project in Certification Efforts 🌟 With the support of the USDA, the LIFFT Cajou project hired a consultant to assist processors and cooperatives in obtaining HACCP and NOP certification. This critical step ensures the highest standards of safety and quality in our operations. Smailing Coast in Gambia received training from the consultant on hygiene standards for kernel production.
