Knicks rookie Kevin Knox was carried off the court in the first quarter of Saturday's 103-101 loss against the Celtics with a sprained left ankle.

The 19-year-old forward is expected to miss two to four weeks with the injury, according to The Athletic. Coach David Fizdale said after the game X-Rays came back negative, though he wasn't sure if Knox would need an MRI.

"I had a real bad feeling in my gut when he went down," Fizdale said. "Where my angle was at I could see the thing basically hit the floor, roll to the floor. I knew right away when he stayed down that it was a [significant] one. I feel for the kid."

Knox was driving for a layup when the injury happened. His ankle appeared to roll while being fouled by Terry Rozier III, but Knox couldn't shoot the free throws and was disqualified from the rest of the game, per NBA rules.

Knox, the No. 9 overall pick in the 2018 draft, has been coming off the bench for New York. He is averaging 9.3 points through three games this season.

The Knicks (1-2) could be facing a big loss if Knox is out for an extended amount of time as New York is already without All-Star forward Kristaps Porzingis as he recovers from ACL surgery.
