Brazil bounces back with a 4-1 win against Paraguay, which is eliminated after the loss. 

Raphinha cuts in and tries to catch Morinigo out at his near-post.However, his grounded effort fizzes past the post.

Velazquez heads the ball towards goal but fails to keep it on target. 

Almiron shoots a goal from inside the Brazil box but Alisson makes the save. He has been good all night. 

This time, Paqueta converts from the spot. It is a similar stuttering run-up once again but this time, sends Morinigo the wrong direction and hits the back of the net. 

PENALTY - It is another penalty for Brazil as there is a handball offence committed by A Paraguayan player inside the box. 

Enciso finds Velazquez at the far-post with a lob from Paraguay’s freekick. Velazquez tries to send the ball across the face of te goal but his pass is cut out. 

Rodrygo steps over a Brazil freekick. He lines his shot up and then shoots from distance. It is a good shot from Rodrygo and forces a save from the Paraguay keeper. 

Paraguay almost scores its second as Enciso dispatches a beautiful curler from the edge of the Brazil box. But Alisson makes a dive at full-stretch to get his fingertips to the ball and send it out for a corner. 

Omar Alderete has pulled a goal back for Paraguay in style. He controls the ball by chesting it outside the box and then shoots at goal on the volley. The connection is immaculate and the low effort beats Alisson. 

Brazil with a 3-0 lead against Paraguay as the second-half kicks-off at the Allegiant Stadium. 

A Vinicius brace and Savio’s debut international goal keeps Brazil in a 3-0 lead against Paraguay at half time. 

Paraguay has completely lost the plot and ends up conceding a third. Alderete is too slow to clear the ball and his clearance ricochets off a rushing Vinicius and rattles the net. Brazil has surely killed the match before half-time. 

An ugly end to the half as players from both teams get involved in a tussle. Wendell and Balbuena are shown yellow cards and then the tussle resumes again.

Rodrygo’s shot at goal is saved by Morinigo but the ball is kept alive by the rebound. Espinoza tries to clear the ball but fails to get a clean connection. Savio, who is there in the right place at the right time, taps the ball in from close distance. 

Enciso cuts in from the left and goes for a curler but the shot is blocked. 

It has taken time but Brazil has scored its first goal in style. A perfect example of team-effort, the link-up play was wonderful. Paqueta’s one-touch pass sent Vinicius through inside the box and the latter keep his composure to drag the ball past the keeper and slot it inside the net. 

MISS - Paqueta steps up to take the penalty and misses the target completely. He goes for that stuttering run-up and then tries to place the ball in the top left-corner. However, the effort is not on target. 

PENALTY FOR BRAZIL - Cubas tries to block a Brazil shot from the edge of the box but the ball hits his hand and it is a penalty for Brazil. A big moment in the match

Bobadilla with the shot again at goal but this time too, it is straight at Alisson, who makes the save. This is the second time Alisson has saved a shot by Bobadilla. 

Marquinhos comes close tp scoring with a header at goal but misses the target by inches. The chance had come from a Brazil corner. 

As expected, Brazil is going for the press and has stitched most of the attacking moves till now. However, the Paraguayans have been compact with their defending till now. 

SAVE - Bobadilla’s shot from distance takes a deflection and goes towards goal. Alisson does well to react and make a diving save. The save looked easy but the deflection made it trickier. 

Paraguay had a moment of panic there after Almiron stayed down, clutching his foot. However, it looks like an impact injury and he will be okay to continue. 

Enciso tries to make a penetrative run but loses possession after getting sandwiched between a couple of Brazil players. Brazil looks to counter as Guimaraes threads a pass for Vinicius, but it turns out to be a bit too heavy for the latter. 

Vinicius shows his skill by skipping past his marker with a stepover but his attempted low cross is intercepted, ending Brazil’s attack. 

Savinho sets up Joao Gomes for a shot from the edge of the box and the latter obliges. However, he fails to keep his effort down as the ball sails out of play. 

Vinicius tries to create something from the left but he cannot keep the ball. However, he does ,manage to win an early corner for Brazil. 

It is a surprising sight to see so many empty seats at the Allegiant Stadium, given the fact Brazil is playing. Or there might be a late influx of fans a few minutes after kick-off

Brazil faces Paraguay in its Copa America Group D match in Las Vegas on Friday after a disappointing goalless draw against lowly Costa Rica in its opener left the five-time World Cup winner questioning how to sharpen its cutting edge. 

A wasteful Brazil side dominated possession but was clueless on how to beat an ultra-defensive Costa Rica playing with a back five. It roamed around its opponent’s box but was toothless, with just three of its 19 shots on target. 

Paraguay, which lost 2-1 to Colombia in its first game, is expected to use a similar defensive game plan to Costa Rica. 

That will pose another challenge for Brazil’s 62-year-old manager Dorival Jr who will have to find answers on how his side can break deadlocks and be more precise in front of goal.
