Alcaraz goes 40-0 up on his serve. Three match points. First wasted with a double fault. Second gone after a crosscourt forehand sent wide. But the third one seals the deal! Body serve from Alcaraz, Rune’s chip return goes long! Alcaraz wins 7-6(3), 6-4, 6-4 to reach his maiden Wimbledon semifinal!

Alcaraz holds serve and continues to stay up by a break at 5-3. Now or never for Rune.

Rune seems to be fading away as Alcaraz breaks his serve to go 3-2 ahead in the third and potentially the final set.

Daniil Medvedev comes back to beat Christopher Eubanks 6-4, 1-6, 4-6, 7-6(4), 6-1 and reaches his first-ever Wimbledon semifinal. The third-seeded Russian will face either Carlos Alcaraz or Holger Rune next.

That one break of serve in the ninth game proves enough for Alcaraz to clinch the second set 6-4. The Spaniard leads two-sets-to-love.

Daniil Medvedev is up by a double break against Eubanks. The unseeded American needs something special to comeback from 0-4 down.

Alcaraz gets the crucial break of serve in the 2nd set to go 5-4 up! A brilliant backhand down the line service return from the Spaniard to win the point.

The amazing run of the sixth-seeded Indo-Australian duo continues as it beats the Dutch pair of Griekspoor and Stevens 6-7(3), 7-5, 6-2. Bopanna and Ebden will next face top seeds Wesley Koohlof and Neal Skupski.

The third-seeded Russian bags the fourth set 7-6(4) and takes the quarterfinal against Christopher Eubans to a deciding 5th set

Christopher Eubanks is ever so close to continuing his dream run at Wimbledon.

From 3-3, Alcaraz reels off four straight points in the tiebreaker to clinch the first set 7-6(4) against Rune after 65 minutes.

Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden come from 4-5 down to take the second set 7-5 against Griekspoor-Stevens. Onto the decider, we go!

Rune leads 40-0 before Alcaraz takes him to deuce game. However, the Dane holds to make it 5-5.

The sixth seeds are up by a break at 4-3 in the second set!

The American player is on a roll now as he takes the third set 6-4 to take a two-sets-to-one lead against Medvedev!

The unseeded American is up by a break in the third set against Medvedev and leads 4-3.

Twenty minutes into the match and we have had only four games. Rune holds to keep it 2-2.

The first set between Bopanna-Ebden and Griekspoor-Stevens goes to tiebreak. And the Dutch pair wins it 7-6(3).

Christopher Eubanks takes a one-sided second set 6-1 against Daniil Medvedev. Game on!

Third-seeded Russian Medvedev takes the lead as he clinches the opener 6-4 againsy unseeded American Eubanks.

Redemption for the Tunisian as she beats defending champion Elena Rybakina 6-7(5), 6-4, 6-1 to avenge the loss from last year’s final. Jabeur to face Sabalenka in semis!

Jabeur keeps her break advantage as she comes from 15-40 down to hold serve. Rybakina not out of this contest yet. Jabeur ahead at 4-1.

Rybakina opens her account in the deciding set, albeit after a tight deuce game Jabeur leads 3-1.

Four games on the trot for last year’s finalist. Rybakina is clearly under pressure as Jabeur is reading her serve so well. Jabeur leads 2-0.

Ons Jabeur breaks Rybakina in the tenth game of the second set and takes it 6-4. The Tunisian’s forehand doing all the damage!

Third seed Medvedev takes on unseeded American and Wimbledon debutant Eubanks.

Medvedev and Eubanks have faced each other only once - in the quarterfinals of this year’s Miami Open where the Russian won 6-3, 7-5.

Relentless Rybakina continues to serve well and put the pressure on Jabeur. Rybakina keeps it on serve at 4-4.

Ons Jabeur saves multiple break points in the sixth game of the second set to hold serve. It’s 3-3 and on serve!

Wide serve into the ad court on her second match point from Sabalenka and Keys hits the backhand return wide. Sabalenka wins 6-2, 6-4 and now awaits the winner of Jabeur vs Rybakina the semis!

Sabalenka breaks Keys again. Brutal response from the Australian Open champion. She leads 5-4 and will serve for a place in the semifinals!

Madison Keys was 40-0 up on her serve but World No. Sabalenka shows her quality, stays in the game before breaking the American to bring things back on serve. Keys ahead by 4-3.

From 3-3, Rybakina reels off three straight points. Jabeur saves the first set as Rybakina nets a backhand return. Jabeur hits a forehand winner down the line to save the second. But then Rybakina fires in a 116mph first serve down the T, Jabeur gets her racquet on the ball but it flies beyond the baseline. Rybakina steals the opener 7-6(5)!

What a response from the American! Gets three break points and finally converts the third one to take a 4-2 lead against Sabalenka.

Rybakina and Jabeur engage in multiple baseline rallies. The Tunisian goes down 15-40 before saving two break points. She then has a set point but nets a backhand. Rybakina eventually breaks her and takes this set to a tiebreaker.

The Tunisian has clearly learnt her lesssons from last year’s defeat in the final. She is consistenly firing winners and as a result, goes up 6-5. Jabeur to serve for the set.

Sabalenka continues to ask questions but Keys, somehow, managing to hold serve and stay ahead at 2-1.

Both players have exchanged one break each in an entertaining match so far. Rybakina leads 4-3.

Jabeur returns the favour as she breaks Rybakina back and that too, a break-to-love! Jabeur trails 2-3 but it is back on serve.

Rybakina breaks Jabeur to love, drawing errors from the Tunisia’s backhand side. Defending champion leads 3-1.

The American makes Sabalenka work hard and even had two break points but the World No. 2 manages to hold serve and clinch the opening set 6-2!

Jabeur vs Rybakina, repeat of last year’s final, is underway. Rybakina serves first and holds easily. The Tunisian player responds with a love hold: 1-1

Keys holds serve, finishing with a 108mph. Sabalenka leads 5-2 and will serve for the set next.

Another day, same story. However, it is not that heavy and the players continue the battle with the roof open.

Big serving from Sabalenka including a 105mph ace. Holds serve easily to go 5-1 up.

Keys offers two more breaks points and Sabalenka converts the second chance to go up 4-1. Sabalenka has absolutely dismissed the American’s serve with her power.

The American comes up with a better service game and opens her account in the opening set. Sabalenka, with the break, leads 2-1.

Keys manages to get to 30-40 but Sabalenka closes the game. Sabalenka leads 2-0.

The American provides four break points to Sabalenka in the opening round and the Belarusian converts the fourth one with a gorgeous backhand slice winner. Early break to Sabalenka.

Aryna Sabalenka and Madison Keys are on Court 1. The quarterfinal is about to begin!

One of the matches to watch out today is the quarterfinal between World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz and Holger Rune.

It is going to be the first men’s singles quarterfinal at the grass Major contested by two players aged under 21 in the Open Era.

Second seed and reigning Australian Open champion Aryna Sabalenka takes on 25th seed Madison Keys from USA in the quarterfinals on Court 1.

The two players first faced each other in 2018 when Sabalenka won 6-3, 6-4 in the quarterfinals of Cincinnati Masters. Their second and most recent meeting took place on grass in Berlin in 2021 when Keys emerged victorious 6-4, 1-6, 7-5 in the second round.

Day 9 of this year’s Wimbledon was full of surprises as women’s top seed Iga Swiatek and fourth seed Jessica Pegula both were knocked out in the quarterfinals. On the other hand, Novak Djokovic progressed to yet another semifinal at the grass Major.
