Wimbledon 2024, July 11 Highlights: Jasmine Paolini and Barbora Krejcikova progressed to the women’s final on the 11th day at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, London.

Jasmine Paolini and Barbora Krejcikova sealed comeback wins in their respective semifinals to set up the women’s singles summit clash at Wimbledon in London on Thursday.
Seventh-seeded Paolini took down Croatia’s Donna Vekic 2-6, 6-4, 7-6(8) in two hours and 51 minutes, the longest-ever women’s semifinal at The Championships. The 28-year-old Italian is the first woman since Serena Williams in 2016 to reach the finals at Roland-Garros and Wimbledon in the same season.

In the second semifinal, 31st-seeded Czech Barbora Krejcikova defeated 2022 champion and fourth-seeded Kazakh Elena Rybakina 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.
Krejcikova, who won the French Open in 2021, is the fifth Czech woman to reach the final of the grass Major in the Open Era.
Wimbledon is set to have a new women’s champion for the seventh straight edition.
