About CEN

The European Committee for Standardization is one of three European Standardization Organizations (together with CENELEC and ETSI) that have been officially recognized by the European Union and by the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) as being responsible for developing and defining voluntary standards at European level.

Scope

Joint CEN/CENELEC steering coordination and programming group entrusted:
a) with the task to manage the different project teams to develop guides for procurement and submit them through the secretariat to the common CEN/CENELEC procedures.
b) and with the task to make a survey of supporting standards needed, identifying the existing and missing standards as well as the responsible CEN or CENELEC technical committee for their drafting or redrafting.
