Cranes - Safety |
Development and maintenance of safety standards for the design, manufacture and information to be provided for the following products: 1. cranes (as defined in CEN/TC 147 Resolution 99); 2. equipment for the lifting of persons on/with certain cranes; 3. power driven winches and hoists, and their supporting structures; 4. hand-powered lifting machines; 5. non-fixed load lifting attachments; 6. manually controlled load manipulating devices. Exceptions are: - hoisting devices for gymnastic and playing field equipment; - robotic lifting machinery; - lifting attachments for the glass industry; - lifting machinery and attachments for medical use; - excavators used as cranes; - cable cranes.
