The European Committee for Standardization is one of three European Standardization Organizations (together with CENELEC and ETSI) that have been officially recognized by the European Union and by the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) as being responsible for developing and defining voluntary standards at European level.

Circular Economy |
Standardization in the field of Circular Economy to develop horizontal standards that address European specific prerequisites, legislation, and policy. The standards aim to provide guidance, recommendations, requirements, methodologies and tools to implement,
support and measure transition towards a Circular Economy at an organizational level. The deliverables aim to complement international and European standardization in the advancement in the transition towards a Circular Economy, while contributing to sustainable
development. The work aligns with, but does not duplicate, activities falling into the scope of other Technical Committees*. The Technical Committee will promote and maintain open communication and active collaboration with all relevant committees.
