E: DLSS is apparently already available but is not being shown as an AMD user, apparently.
There doesn't seem to be any gadgets like the original. No dynamite, lures or cloaking devices.
Also, does Cutter suffer from amnesia? He doesn't seem to remember anything about Adelpha.
what I personally think is the worst part about the demo, is that it's way too limited:
you can only enter/launch each game mode twice,
regardless how much time you spend in it - there is a maximum of a whopping 20 minutes or so in total, for 2 of the 3 modes.
I immediately lost one attempt, because I had to return to main screen within the first minute of gameplay
(character got stuck after using that jetpack/glider thing)
before that, I wasted another one, because I decided to exit the game (it launches using dx11 on default) in order to switch to dx12...
you should have unlimited attempts imho, and maybe 1 hour on the timer instead just 20 minutes.
also, it looks like there might be way too much resource collecting / item crafting = pointless grinding / artificially stretching / ruining the gameplay experience , at least for my taste. I don't like this stuff too much, in any games.
Why can open worlds no longer do without this stuff?
Also, there's too much emphasis on the yetpack/sprint feature, is it going to be like this all times, in the full game?
And Cutter appears to be a grown man, maybe in his late 40ies 50ies, even early 60ies, taking in account his 'wrinkled' appearance...
Yet his voice lines/commentaries are often pretty childish / cringeworthy and dull. Was he always like this, back then in the original game? Can't remember.
PS: but in total, ty for the demo anyway, it's appreciated.
overall I found it very convincing (to not preorder / not buy this game)
Which is what demos do. As well as delivering a vertical slice of what to expect.
I hope so, too. Chasing orbs in all the side activities is not fun at all.
