i'll say there is way more possible long shots then u might think....
and most maps u can stealth u way without kill close range
it be bit how u plays it...

I totally agree, there is a distinct shortage of long range sniping. In Spy Academy the best part for me is sniping from the start point across the bridge where I can get up to 450 mtr shots and happily kill about 30/40 enemy depending on their reactions. But once across the bridge there are few really long shots. I agrre the game is still fun but it is a disappointment for those of us who like sniping. Since its release I play mainly trying to find longer and longer shots but we need more.

I played mostly short range on Authentic mode, but it wasn't very tough to get through. It's true, it's not the best representation of a true sniper game.

Use binos to survey entire scene, be patient, tag enemies as they slowly emerge into view, use stealth to get into high positions. Do it any other way and its Rambo style. The game was purposely designed this way.

If you can't snipe then you will die in survival mode, especially on a map like Unwanted Guests.

This is the first sniper game I've had. And I'd say it's more of an infiltrator game tham a sniper game. I''m finding it easiest to play if I use different tactics as I go through any one level. Snipe some, knock enemies unconscious some, close quatrers combat some, and snipe some with the pistol that's quieter than the sniper rifle.

I'd like to see more opportunity for long range sniping too, but as previously mentioned, there are more long range targets than initially meets the eye. I've sniped my way out of rifle ammo in Spy Academy before setting foot on the sand. Almost every time I replay a mission I find new long range targets. Not all targets are people either. I take out every alarm I can at range.

Agree.

Not to mention all the times that if you're too close you can't stab them.

Pretty sure an absolute authentical Sniper Sim would be boring for most players (specially casuals) unless they are total nerds or pros (former snipers for example) themselves cause the real deal is about endless patience while observing, infiltrating enemy territory (by crouching SLOWLY for miles :D ), collecting intel, consulting with your spotter a.s.o.

The price gave me a good laugh.
