I think it comes on a little too strong. Writing is way too on the nose, and I felt more frustrated than Leticia was in-game when she was conned a handful of times. Maybe it's just because I'm used to some of the heavier games this publisher puts out, but it comes off as way too whimsical and heavy-handed when you compare it to a lot of their titles with similar mechanics. I don't think it's any problem with the translation, just the original game.

I don't like how they gate a lot of the shops and whatnot behind h-scenes either. I feel like if you're making a game like this, gating basic quality of life like item shops behind h-scenes is kind of arbitrary and against the point of the genre. It's nitpicking because you can reasonably skip it with control and view the scene later in recollection, but imo, what makes corruption games better in particular is the choice. That the character is willingly doing these increasingly depraved things of their own will, not that they're being railroaded.
I'm just curious if anyone else feels the same way, or if it's just me who's spoiled my tastes by playing too many of these types of games that handle it differently.
