i cant get the music out of my head

This is honestly so frustrating. Every fiber of my body wants to like this game. Every aspect of this game is great. The artstyle, be it the spritework or the cutscenes, the soundtrack, the characters. The whole package has just a great vibe. If only the combat, in a BEAT 'EM UP wouldn't be this bad. I'm trying so hard, because I really want to play this game, but the combat just feels horrible. It's clunky, the difference between vertical and horizontal movement is confusing, yes the combos feel nice, but there is no smooth transition from attacking/walking/blocking to each other.

I'm not gonna give up yet, because I really, REALLY *want* to experience this game, but it's trying it's damndest to push me away and it's making me incredibly frustrated.
