People seem to really appreciate this game, so I guess that's just me but I had to refund this, and I almost never ask for refunds.
The gameplay is basically connecting point A and point B and then wait... and wait... and wait again for a loooooong time, until you go to connect the next two points together.
That was immediately boring as soon as the game began. But what made me quit and ask for a refund is that I encountered a problem that apparently has existed since 2019: in the Second campaign mission, I had to buy one locomotive and four wagons. For some reason, the game bugged out and I was only able to purchase the locomotive even though I had selected also 4 wagons. Then I corrected by purchasing again the 4 wagons, which this time worked. HOWEVER, I was now with 4 wagons not connected to a locomotive. I tried everything to connect them together, looked it up online, but there was absolutely no way to do so, every time I had a "this wagon does not have a locomotive" message. Maybe that's not a bug but just me that doesn't know where to look but:
1. The game should explain to me what to do.
2. People described, on other steam pages where people had the same issue, what to do and I didn't have these options.

Such a shame, I was really looking forward to this but it immediately gave me the impression of a super unfinished and unpolished game, that wasn't even worth the 70% discount that made me buy it, sorry.

I don't expect this game to be so addicting.

It's easy to learn, I only need to complete first two campaign and I understand what should I do in this game.
Although it's easy to learn, the game itself ain't easy since it tests your strategical thinking and that's why I love this game.
If you've played cities skylines, then this game will be familiar to you.

This is a wonderful triumph for train game fans and fans of Euro and builder games, with a strong modding community on par with the best of the modders for Sid Meier's Civ 6.

Though as others have pointed out the campaign missions are unintuative as to what you're supposed to do, and are overly reliant on the player already being fully familiar beforehand with the secondary features such as terrain assets and vehicle coloring.
