Game not starting - possible fix

Game didn't launch. Ja3.exe = Error could not start game. please restart.

FIX in my Case: Uninstall EpicGames Launcher

So i searched Event-Logs which brought:

Name der fehlerhaften Anwendung: JA3.exe, Version: 0.1.0.0, Zeitstempel: 0x64afe557
Name des fehlerhaften Moduls: ntdll.dll, Version: 10.0.19041.3155, Zeitstempel: 0x5212ece5

Further Logs showed

LoadedModule[69]=D:\Games\Epic Games\Launcher\Portal\Extras\Overlay\EOSOVH-Win64-Shipping.dll

So i got curious about why this module would have to load.
I decided to uninstall EpicGamesLauncher and JA3 finally launched !

Thank you, worked for me as well! Though my logs didn't show what module was trying to load..

I had same exact issue. Uninstalling epic launcher fixed it. Thank you for that

maybe my initial suggestion actually works. it apparently worked for 1 user, after 4 pages of random comments
why dont you delete the bugged game file instead?
...just saw that, this is just a meaningless, random line, from the log

Maybe because if he deleted the epic launcher and the game starts, it cant be a bugged game file because it would still not load then?

Hi guys. I was able to launch game, and also have Epic Launcher installed/running. Not sure what is causing your crashing...

Well, it was the Overlay of it, which was loaded on initiiating the ntdll.dll
My EpicGamesLauncher is been out of date ( 3years old)

So i guess there might be no problem if it's up to date or maybe just overlay is deactivated.

У меня вообще нет EpicGamesLauncher! Я им не пользуюсь! При запуске чёрный экран пару минут и потом вылетает!

hmm.. if u get a black screen, then it's a different Fault.
We're talking from that one, where you click "Play" and nothing happens.

(But still give it a try and go visit the Windows-Event-Logs)
