Solution for Vaulting
I know y'all stopped, thank you for that, but there's still stuff in the vault we need to get back out.

From what I understand, the removal of content, while controversial, was done to keep file size limited, most likely a concession for console players who do not have as much storage space as PC players.

So, keeping the idea of mitigating the amount of storage necessary, what if we had, in addition to the base game and all the additional modules included in it, we also add optional installable modules. As in, an optional "Red War" module that allows you to experience, at the bare minimum, all the story missions from Red War, and possibly add the planets that were removed to free roam and complete collections and in-game achievements, forget what they're called, sorry.

As far as how many players, it can be a solo-only module that isn't scaled up to the current Light levels, so you can just wreck your way through it solo, including dungeons and raids from the original, and you collect items that are useless to your build, but fill out your collections page.

Doing this allows you to install one module at a time if you have limited storage space, then remove that module and install the next one if you want the next piece of story. Red War would be the largest Module and might need to be broken down a little bit, but if we did that, at least everyone can finally fully experience the story from start to finish, and play dungeons or raids they may have missed out on

Install size was only ever a quality of life factor and never the primary deciding factor behind content vaulting. The issue was that the game engine (at least as it was) couldn't handle the amount of content (rather than the size of that content) that was available.

Optional DLC installs for Destiny really aren't an option and are almost certainly never going to happen for a variety of reasons.
