One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 is the latest in the series, but is best for those who already played 3 and are just looking to play with some new characters.

Pros:
-A large cast of characters, over double what was in 3 if you count DLC. Most characters have unique movesets so it's fun to swap around a play all the different characters.
-Of the Muso/Warriors games, the one piece ones are still by far the most fun in terms of creative move sets and environments and missions.
-Adds in the original Dressrosa arc, the Whole Cake Island arc, and a game original wano arc. Plus plenty of new characters from the Whole Cake arc.

Cons:
-They cut out most of the old story arcs/missions, and only kept like 3 of the prior arcs (alabasta, water 7, sabody/marineford). If you want to play any other prior maps you'll have to go back to 3.
-Removed some fun characters from old arcs that they didn't include in this game, but not a huge gripe as they added plenty more in exchange.
-grinding for tokens to increase character stats so that you can play new characters on harder stages is a big chore. It disincentives you from actually playing with the whole cast that they included.
-Supers can be janky in terms of zooming in and inconsistent in functioning sometimes (but not gamebreaking)
-Extra content outside of story mode is kind of bland, all on randomly generated maps, with random side encounters and usually not much of a plot around it.
-Some slow-down/lag, but nothing too bad compared to musuo games in general
-Some jankiness with the PC port, struggled getting it to register controllers, could never get more than one to work at a time for couch co-op (could only do 1 controller plus keyboard)

Overall, mechanically I think the game is really fun to play with all the characters, i just wish that it had more compelling content that I could play with them. Anyone who really wants to experience the one piece story and universe should go back and play Pirate Warriors 3 which is MUCH MORE comprehensive. This game is for those who already played 3 and just want to play with the new characters/story lines that have appeared since 3's release. I enjoyed playing, but would consider this more of a big DLC as opposed to being a complete game.

One of the best Warriors games out there. Loved it so much after beating everything on my switch I had to come back to play yet again on Steam.

A one piece game with incredible musou gameplay. (probably even the best) Unfortunately, it's disappointing when it comes to the story. Expect to only get to play in arcs that were peak with pacing so weird that it will make you wonder "wtf just happened" "Oh crap, we're fighting this man now".
