Modders are the core intended audience for this option, as it will help them test new mid and late game content, but there's nothing stopping anybody else from using it. However, the game is not balanced for it, so the first turns will be quite slow, and activating the dev mode tools can have an impact on performance on some systems.

Between the beta now and release in January, we're focused on bugfixes and possibly tweaks to balancing, depending on the feedback we get. No other "feature additions" I'm afraid.

As far as I know, that's not feasible for us at the moment. I'm not sure if we can publish beta branches through the Microsoft Store at all.

I love this game too and was waiting for the next update. But now I'm very disappointed about the development speed (only some variables will be tweaked + few images added; are there only working 5 developers?) and the still missing roadmap (why not sharing the topics of the next 2-3 versions?). Other publishers like Paradox are taking the community much better to the next steps.
