Is the game fun and addicting? YES... but there are so many unpolished parts which modding could fix. The devs are against mods for some reason but honestly mods is not a bad thing.
This unwillingness from the devs leaves us with a playable game but with elements that are very unfinished for an example the builder hut is pointless since you have to go there for every single building you want repaired and press repair aka making the building pretty useless.
Mods could fix this or indicate which parts the devs can adopt?

Overall a fun game but this no modding mindset from the devs in this type of game makes it annoying since the potential with modding for this game is endless

my only complaint is that I want more interactions with my kids in the game, like 3 years i can't even hold my baby?! lol I can't play with my toddler? they don't follow me? I'm mom! lol its a great game but yea, wish there was more of a parenting element if you're gonna include the ability to have kids.

Medieval Dynasty: A Tale of Homeownership, Bears, and Booze

So, I finally took the plunge into Medieval Dynasty, thinking it would be a chill, historical survival game—something like "Oregon Trail but with extra tax evasion." Oh, how naive I was.

Homeownership: The Medieval Scam
Early on, the game had me doing menial labor for local nobles while I lived in a hut that could generously be described as "a stack of sticks held together by my dwindling self-respect." But after days of foraging mushrooms and doing free labor for ungrateful villagers, I finally got enough logs to build my own house. My very first home! A humble wooden shack where I could rest my weary, peasant feet and contemplate my life choices.

That is… until the tax collector showed up and reminded me that even in a medieval survival game, I can’t escape taxes.

Bears and Bad Decisions
Somewhere between expanding my little peasant empire and desperately trying to avoid becoming a tax fugitive, I decided I needed to "test my sword skills". After all, what kind of medieval lord doesn’t have combat experience? So I marched into the forest with my trusty Sharpened Butter Knife (TM) of a sword, ready to slay whatever I found.

Enter: The Bear

What followed was less of an epic duel and more of an episode of "Man vs. Wild: Idiot Edition" as I flailed my sword wildly while screaming like a banshee. I did manage to stab the bear several times—mostly by accident while running for my life—but in the end, I survived, proving that sheer panic is a valid combat strategy.

The Wife and The Wine
After nearly dying to a bear, I realized that if I was going to live long enough to become a medieval tycoon, I needed an heir to my dirt farm. So I did what any responsible dynasty-builder would do:
1. Found a wife
2. Complimented her intelligence daily
3. Gave her enough gifts that she eventually gave in to my relentless advances

Fast forward, and boom—she’s pregnant, and I’m about to be a dad. Naturally, I decided that fatherhood required a serious career change—so I became a full-time medieval winemaker.

I discovered that cherry wine was profitable and delicious, so I dedicated most of my resources to making enough booze to become the town’s unofficial liquor baron. It turns out that making alcohol is the TRUE path to success in Medieval Dynasty, because after a few seasons of drowning the village in cherry wine, I was the richest man on the planet.

Final Verdict
✅ Built a house
✅ Fought a bear (barely survived)
✅ Knocked up my wife
✅ Became a medieval wine lord

Overall, 10/10 would drink my way through medieval feudalism again.

I like the survival aspects mixed with expanding the community- plus making friends with the NPCs is cool.

Plays like a cross between Valheim and Kingdom Come: Deliverance, if you're a fan of either of these then Medieval Dynasty is definitely worth checking out.

On top of that, there are constant updates and road maps from the devs to improve QoL of an already great game.

This game deserves a mixed review, as the game has a good concept and it's pretty well done, but it has its flaws that might be annoying. The game is fully released, and it's still developed regularly. The game lets you decide if you want to build a big village for yourself or if you just want to create a big community. It has a lot of different mechanics. The mechanics aren't well-developed, it's about quantity instead of quality, but still - everyone will find something to do. The main flaw is that the game does not deliver the things that are promised.

This game is not a survival game. This game is not a city builder/community management game. This game is not a medieval simulator game. It's hard to tell, but the game is something between several genres, and the main thing is that the game does many things, but not even a single one is developed in high quality, so it gives low to medium vibes when playing. This may change with the development of the game, but for now, I see more negatives than positives, so despite giving a mixed review, I'm giving it a thumbs down.

Game is punishingly grindy, A.I sucks, Music repetetive. Bandits easy to cheese. Quests infuriating. And your main character has zero capacity to carry or fight.
