Seems like a wonderful game- would be great if I could actually play it. Seriously, why is this still listed? I've had several different crashes barely 5 minutes in. Starting a battle randomly crashes the game. Entering a door randomly crashes the game. Opening a menu randomly crashes the game. It should not be this difficult to emulate something over a decade old.

Chrono Cross formed the golden age of Squaresoft games along with Final Fantasy two decades ago for good reason:

1. The legendary depth of story that goes across time and space
2. Artistic direction that was unique
3. Music that is remembered decades later
4. Unique battle system that has great tactical depth

The remastered:
1. Speeding up of a dated and slow combat system

The shortcomings:
1. Story is enhanced by knowledge of the events in Chrono Trigger
2. Alt-tabbing does not allow the game to continue playing on its own (or maybe I am missing sth)
3. The touch squares of objects and interaction can be finicky and it can take multiple tries to touch something whether on slow or speed up mode.

All in all, the game is solid and has mitigated its dated slow game play to some extent. Chrono Cross is very well worth visiting for its amazing world building and underlying messages even today. Worth getting at a fair discount as there are certain features that can be improved for better gameplay experience.
