happened after i'd successfully taken on 2 ships, and taken them over, while in the victory screen, since i only had 1 ship slot, i decided to try and sink the other ships, due to the popup saying i'd just get the stuff from them afterwards, and it was after trying to sink the first one that the game completely froze.
-- had to force close it via steam.

game version was the non-vr build, on the default branch, current date ( 08 / 01 / 2025 - dd / mm / yyyy )
-- there's also an possible bug with the odds on sneaking into enemy ports, as it kept failing at an over 70% chance, which is now in the 60%'s range due to the repeated failures.

hopefully i'm not softlocked, not sure if i'll be able to acquire any more ships due to the game freeze bug.
