some suggestions
more of an quality-of-life list to be fair.
-- being able to run.
-- being able to jump.
-- being able to crouch.
-- being able to auto-cycle through the equipped guns. ( for example: equip 4 flintlocks, after firing 1, it'll switch to the next one ready to fire. - if using one in both hands, you could fire both, then both would switch to the other 2 ready ones, and back after firing those. ).
-- an option for sailing to the destination you press the ( a ) button on by default, since it for whatever reason keeps trying to do " look at ship " rather than " set sail ".
-- mid-battle repairs to also fix the sails, as you're rendered near-softlocked if you're too slow and damaged to escape from an seemingly mandatory battle. ( if you're 1 vs 1, you at least have an chance to still win, it'll just take hours. ).

only other thing would be some kind of warning to not invest any skill points, or upgrades, into your ship at the beginning of the game.
-- since all that, and more, gets taken away from you.

i should note, that i'm playing on controller.
-- so if those controls exist already but just aren't fully-implemented on controller, apologies.

after more carefully checking the button mapping screen, it seems that both running and crouching, are bound to stick clicks.
-- i'll have to adjust the suggestions for them, to be an ( always run ) option, and to be able to crouch via the button-pad.

reason for the switch to the button-pad, is to mitigate the damage to the analogue sticks.
-- they've already gotten stick-drift, i'd rather them still be at least somewhat functional.
