Stardew but 3D about you trying to save the ocean but there's several gangsta turtles that make you pay for crossing the road. Good game.

Bought this game from Humble Bundle Choice September 2024 with Best Deal ever xD. This game just killed my time today (the day i wrote this review). Is look like Dinkum and Stardew Valley in One and the combat system like My Time At Portia.

I want to love this but it's hard to recommend a game that came out of early access nearly a year ago and isn't complete despite being on version 1.1 and asking for $30. There were some things I enjoyed, hence the 70 hours, but they were mostly mindless, repetitive activities like mining or cleaning the ocean that were easy to mentally check out from and spend hours doing. At some point, I realized I wasn't actually enjoying it. I was just playing it to scratch the farm sim itch.

The characters feel hollow. Many heart events don't even involve the player and a lot of them are straight out of other media, like bits from Friends. It goes beyond homage and inspiration, and instead just directly copies these well-known scenes. It reads like the writers didn't have ideas (were there professional writers involved with this game?).

Honestly, almost everything feels kind of hollow. So many things feel like they're in the game because that's what farm sims are supposed to have, not because it was meaningful for this game.

I should note that there ARE some good points here. The game is gorgeous and I love the tropical setting. The character appearances are cute. It's great to see aspects of cultures that you don't often see incorporated into games! When the developers split away from their "inspirations" and make unique choices, that's when the game shines. But that doesn't happen often, and it almost makes me more disappointed with the whole thing. Someone involved at some point clearly had a creative vision and I wish that was harnessed more. But considering this game received over $1.5 million in backing in 2021, multiple promised rewards still aren't or will never be available, and the game still isn't complete, I really can't recommend this game.
