If like me you prefer the usual validate button being set to (X for DS4, A for Xbox) but for some reason those buttons are set to cancel, and the Steam Input cannot override this, it is actually this game's regular behaviour. The simple solution is to edit the config.ini file (located next to the .exe), and inverse the values for A,B and X,Y to make it feel natural. Obviously for those used to Nintendo controls this wouldn't be an issue but otherwise I find it strange to be the default considering most PC players would use an Xbox controller rather than a Switch Pro Controller.

TLDR: If you feel like the controls are wrong, go to Manage > Browse Local Files > config.ini and try changing the values for the A,B,X,Y buttons.
