Since it’s the most common achievement (over 90% of players have it), I’d assume you get it at the start of the game-but although I’ve gotten all other achievements but getting a raise-I can not get Grim Awakening to pop. I even tried starting a new game in desktop mode.

Has anyone else ran into this issue or can anyone offer any advice? I’ve been enjoying the demo, but this achievement not popping makes me worried about buying the full game in case achievements are bugged on Steam Deck for it too-and I exclusively play steam games on my Deck ATM (I have an ancient computer-so might try to force the Grime Awakening achievement with it eventually if I can find no way to get it on Steam Deck, but I cannot play a full game on it.

Any advice would be appreciated!

ETA: Problem solved, at least for the demo. I could get all other achievements using default compatibility settings, but finally unlocked “Grim Awakening” by starting up a new game after forcing compatibility with Proton 9.0-4. Leaving this edit for future reference in case anyone else playing the demo on Steam Deck runs into this issue. Don’t know if this is relevant for the full game or not, though.
