That's quite an extreme reaction. It is just a game and not real life! Chill!
It is just a game, but it's a game behaving badly. It's not an extreme reaction. Quit excusing bad game design and game errors or bugs. If I make a mistake for the first time, I expect to only be scolded for making a mistake the first time, and not scolded for making a mistake the second time and that if I make another mistake I'm really in trouble.
Imagine you're playing baseball, and on the first pitch, you get a strike, but the call is "strike two". You would be just as upset as I am about this, and rightly so.
The game should follow the rules set for you unless it is a deliberately designed game mechanic (this does not appear to be the case for this issue, it appears to be a bug or some other oversight).
