How to become best selling writer?

I read somewhere that you can become best selling writer. I've tried and failed this. I went to the park and talked to the journalist guy to trigger the path to becoming writer. Then I chose to learn Hero Journey. When I got A, I became College Dean. One time, I got C or D (can't remember for sure), I ended up becoming a TV show writer or something. I've become College Dean three times now. Please, any suggestion?

I believe which ever learning path you completed the most, you’ll get that career. The path you chose should lead to best selling author. You also need to get like an A in the final high school exam. I have yet to get this career path, so I’ll see if this is the correct path.

I already did this but I didn't get it. I wonder why.
