i keep pressing the right arrow key in the controls menu to go to the Xbox 360 Compatible setting but it wouldn't let me. i tried disabling the steam input and plugging the controller in before starting the game. does anyone know how to fix this?

I was able to get the game to work on my Steam Deck while using Proton Experimental. Hopefully this helps others trying to play this gem! Already spent 42.6 hours as of September 14!
