Let me first make it clear, this game is not for everyone. If you're someone who's easily bothered by janky animations or wants an engaging story, you will not like this game. The game also suffers from some gameplay bloat. For example, do we really need multi-jump, AND air dodges, AND wall running, AND a grapple hook all at the same time?

So why recommend this game? Because if you're able to look past all that, you'll have a very enjoyable 8-12 hours of action-packed fun! Especially true if you're a 40k fan, as the levels are jam-packed with lore-accurate content for you to gush over. From sump beasts to lightning fighters.

I don't recommend this game. The UI is very awkward, the platform moves are not very good, the story is not interesting. On it's credit the level design is usually interesting, with a lot of attention put to elevations.

Floaty movement - lacks feedback or substance

Grapnel is fun

Enemies glide around like its Quake3/UnrealTournament.

Combat feels random - just run around and try to kill everything as fast as possible to get more health in some flow state - but unlike eg Doom2016, here you cant dodge attacks, so it feels like a war of attrition against enemies which contiunally spawn in, teleporting in behind you. Its not bad, but it all feels very low stakes.

Bosses are sponges, but you have super powers so that evens out

One of the most incredible movement shooters I've ever played. Late game action is so fast paced, flashy, and high stakes

You're given multiple choices for personal durability, with a nice tech tree to increase base stats and a surprising amount of weapon customization, which together gives you a crazy amount of playstyle support. You can either bend the game to your will while slowly learning your own solutions to each challenge, or upgrade past the limitations of your flesh and crush your enemies with technologically superior vengeance.

Oh its good, it took me a while to get around to playing it, but honestly no other game has given me as good of a feel at really putting you in your own dark little sump of a universe so large you're below the concern anything really influential. A fantastic warhammer game and a really fun solo game

As a avid Warhammer fan, it hurts to leave this review. Game feels like it was made decades ago but not in the good way. They were trying to go for a doom like feel but not even close to the same quality. No incentive to switch between weapons and enemy variety is just bland. Just another company GW hired to pump and dump out a title. Oh, and that cringey loading animation where your character struts next to the mastiff was almost enough in itself to refund this game. Save your money and just buy Doom.
