I've got so many games already, any excuse to ignore one is fine by me. Easy

I could get the game on EA app without Steam.

I don't like the idea of having two game clients for one game, doesn't sit right with me.

I don't know why Valve doesn't put their foot down with EA and such companies who are using Steam as a means to leverage their own game client.

Not a wise business move.

TBH its worse than that. EA requires you to have "keep me logged in" to play a game in offline mode, and you can only play like 1-2 games in offline mode before you have to connect online to get a valid game license.
